From the first tap to your first conversation, in order. Most people are done in a few minutes.

Create your profile

Open Veliane
Go to veliane.org on your phone or computer. The site opens in your device language when it is one of its 11 languages.
Confirm you are 18 or older
Choose “I'm female, 18+” or “I'm male, 18+”. This also records your agreement to the terms and privacy policy, with a timestamp.
Pick how to start
Use a ready-made profile starter and rewrite it in your own words, or start from a blank profile.
Name, age and city
Your name and your city are permanent, so enter them carefully. Your city is your honest home base, not a limit on who you can reach.
Photo or avatar
Add a JPG or PNG photo, or choose an avatar and add photos later. You can show up to 5 photos in total.
Who you are looking for
Set the age range, how serious you are, and your preferences. Preferences change the order of your matches; they never hide anyone.
Confirm your email
Open the confirmation link sent to your email, then log in. Your profile is waiting for you.
Send your first introduction
Open Matches, choose someone, and write a first message. It arrives as an introduction request they can accept.

Android and computers (Chrome, Edge): use the Install button or the browser menu → Install app.
iPhone and iPad (Safari): tap Share, then “Add to Home Screen”.
The app opens in its own window with its own icon, like any other app.

The confirmation email has not arrived: Check spam and promotions folders, wait a few minutes, and make sure the address you typed is correct.
My photo will not upload: Use a JPG or PNG image. Very large or unusual formats may be refused; a phone screenshot of the photo also works.
I see no matches yet: You are early in your city. Finish your profile so you appear first when new people join, and invite someone serious you know.
Messages are not translated: On-device translation depends on your browser. In browsers without it, messages simply appear as written.
I cannot change my name or city: Both are permanent by design. If a mistake was made at sign-up, delete the profile and create it again correctly.
I want to stop someone writing: Open the conversation menu and choose slow mode, silence, block, or report.
